Charming double metal dish with a floral design, in the Art Nouveau style with its flowing lines and naturalistic motifs. Signature “Derriey” visible under the base (see photo), attributed to Charles Derriey (1808–1877), a renowned French engraver, sometimes referred to as “the Raphael of engravers.” The item was manufactured by his foundry a few years after his death (between 1890 and the early 1910s), at which point "Derriey" ceased to be a brand. 👉 The mention “Made in France” is also present, a guarantee of quality French production. Although primarily known for engraving, his name is associated with decorative metal objects, reflecting a recognised artistic craftsmanship. Ideal as a catch-all, jewellery dish, or antique decorative object. ✔️ Elegant floral decoration. ✔️ Beautiful patina. ✔️ French manufacture. ✔️ Characterful item. Condition: good overall condition with signs of age (see photos) Material: regulus. Length: 14 cm.
