Mid-century dining set of six razorblades chairs designed by henning kjaernulf in the 1960s. It is not difficult to discover where the nickname of these chairs stems. The slightly curved backrests are razorblade-shaped and are an uncommon design feature. The style and shape of the carved legs and frame recall an almost baroque design paired with scandinavian modernism making an outstanding yet impressive combination. The natural grain and color of the varnished oak are complimented by the original mid-century upholstery of the seat in a green color with an interesting striped pattern. With a commitment to combining tradition and modernity, henning kjærnulf’s design is an immediately recognizable and timeless classic. H: 84, 5 / w: 50 / d: 48cm. Seat height: 46cm. Overall, fantastic condition with very minor traces on wood frames related to age and use and original upholstery. We have more of these chairs and we can prepare a set of 6 or 8 chairs in a sheepskin as shown in the picture or other color.
