Barro is a range of unique and high-quality ceramics, manufactured for ames according to traditional pottery crafts in small, family-run manufactories located in the colombian province of tolima. The ceramics are created entirely by hand, from the diggingrom the digging of the holes to extract the black clay to burning and polishing. For his designs, sebastian herkner has taken inspiration in particular from the archetypal forms of exhibits shown in the gold museum, the "museo del oro", in bogotá.
