These vintage plates from the 1970’s were designed by for royal copenhagen, model: “635 – 1665”, baca-fajance. It was originally made to be, what the danish call a: “smørbrik”, which directly translates to: “butter-plate”. This plate was used to lay your bread on, while buttering it up, back in the day. The plates are in excellent condition, the plates all have the original “royal copenhagen” stamp and model number on the back. Please see photo. Today these plates are often used as decoration, which is why many of them will have a hole at the top, so that it can be hung. All six plates we offer have this hole at the top. *this item is vintage, so not new. There will almost always be signs of wear or imperfections. The images that accompany our listing are part of the item description, so please look at them carefully.
