Large Goldkant Cocoon pendant lamp, Germany, 1960s

Beautiful original Goldkant Cocoon pendant lamp from the 1960s. This characteristic lamp is constructed from a metal frame covered with cocoon resin. This creates a warm, even light distribution and a soft, almost floating appearance. Both when switched off and illuminated, the lamp forms a sculptural object within the interior. This example is in exceptionally beautiful vintage condition. The cocoon is completely intact and has retained a beautiful silky gloss. There are no discolorations or damages present, and the metal frame is free from oxidation. With a diameter of 44 cm, this is one of the larger versions of Goldkant.
