Signed raku ceramic mask, on base – Contemporary sculpture, 35 cm

Raku ceramic sculpture representing a stylized face with a strong personality, mounted on an elegant turned wooden base. The whole piece measures 35 cm in height, with a single mask measuring 21 cm. This contemporary work plays on contrasts of textures and colors: one half dark and rough, the other light and brilliantly glazed, with beautiful natural crackles due to raku firing. Colorful details such as the turquoise eyes or the red mouth highlight the expressiveness of the face. The piece is signed on the back by a ceramist (incised signature, visible but not identified), probably active in Europe in the 1990s-2000s. The work is in good overall condition: some visible cracks typical of raku, without structural fragility. An expressive and original sculpture, ideal for an interior with a strong artistic taste or a collection of contemporary ceramics.
