For information, alain maunier (born in 1936) is the nephew of jean clergue (son of jeanne massier) who had taken over the jérôme massier factory from the dynasty of ceramicists who played a key role in the renaissance of vallauris ceramics. Alain maunier operated it until its closure in the 1990s. He signs either with his name or with the jérôme massier stamp that he inherited.
