The mythical Danish ice bucket "Congo" by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk Designs. 1961. Its shape is inspired by Viking ships. Made of teak wood with marked grains and assembled with staves, its sculptural cylindrical form reflects Quistgaard's mastery in combining functional design with warm natural materials. The ice bucket retains its original interior lining and custom lid, allowing it to effectively insulate the ice. It is sealed at the base and numbered 810. It measures 39.5 cm in height.
