Vintage trio of rectangular dishes decorated with naive vegetables.

A trio of small rectangular dishes in cream glazed ceramic, hand-decorated with stylised vegetables in a naive and graphic style: leeks, radishes, and asparagus. The deliberately free black line drawings and fresh colours give the whole a very 1950s-60s aesthetic, straddling modernist country kitchen and workshop tableware. No visible markings or provenance under the pieces. In beautiful vintage condition, with signs of use and very slight irregularities in the glazing visible in places, a tiny chip on the edge of the asparagus-decorated dish. Length 20.5 cm, width 10.5 cm, height 3.5 cm. These botanical drawings do it all: simple, graphic, and immediately decorative.
