Art Deco dressing table

Adorable art-deco style dressing table, composed of a small table with two small drawers whose front is carved with flowers, topped with a swivel mirror with rounded edges. It has been sanded, the wood treated against wood-eating insects, and painted in a warm beige shade (Unikalo professional quality paint, Naé biosourced range, VOC A+) then protected with a colorless varnish (VOC A+). The bottom of the drawers (which slide perfectly) has been lined with delicate Italian paper with floral patterns. The drawer frames have been left in raw beech, to prevent the paint from peeling off over time. The original top, broken, has been replaced by a custom-made MDF top, painted in the same shade as the furniture. A unique dressing table with old-world charm. NB: this item is an antique item sold second-hand and restored by hand. It therefore naturally presents irregularities as well as traces of time and its experience. This is precisely what makes its charm and gives it a unique character. In particular on this dressing table: - Traces of woodworm are visible on the entire piece of furniture (see photos). The wood has nevertheless been fully treated and is now perfectly healthy. The bottom of the rear legs had been attacked (see photos), but this does not affect the stability of the piece of furniture. - This dressing table presents irregularities in shape linked to its artisanal manufacture and its age (parallelism of the legs, alignment of the drawers... - see photos). - The mirror is a new mirror that the previous owner had custom-cut to replace the original mirror: the quality of its reflection is therefore impeccable.
