Set of 2 Carcel lamps

Set of 2 empire style carcel lamps in bronze. This oil lamp invented by Guillaume Carcel was deemed ingenious and expensive, reserved for wealthy clients. One of the lamps remains mounted as originally with the opalescent crystal globes. The other was electrified and decorated with a fabric lampshade. The original globes have been preserved and can be reassembled.
