Suspension "Cloudine" by Oriano Favaretto for Cattelan Italia, 2016

Suspension Cloudine designed by the Italian designer Oriano Favaretto for the prestigious house Cattelan Italia. Modern and inspired by surrealism, it stands out for its organic shapes resembling a cloud or a drop of water, seemingly floating in space with remarkable lightness. Recognised for the poetry of his creations, Oriano Favaretto has his artworks displayed at the Glass Museum of Murano as well as in several significant private collections. Its lampshade is made of blown borosilicate glass, a material that is both lighter and more robust than traditional glass, diffusing a soft and enveloping light. The structure is suspended by a delicate cable that can reach a height of 2.6 metres, held by a sleek black chrome steel canopy that elegantly highlights the globe. This sculptural and refined suspension naturally finds its place in a contemporary interior, above a table, counter, or in a passageway. The light fixture is offered in brand new condition, having only been unpacked for the purposes of illustrative photography. Length from the canopy to the globe: 2.60m.
