Designed in 1969 by Verner Panton, the iconic VP Globe is one of the most recognizable examples of Space Age lighting design. Created during the height of futuristic optimism and experimentation with new materials, the lamp became a true design classic and remains in production today. The overall lamp size is 40 cm in diameter. The lamp consists of a transparent acrylic sphere containing a complex system of internal metal reflectors suspended on delicate chains, carefully arranged to diffuse the light softly and evenly throughout the room. The tension between the perfectly simple outer globe and the sculptural inner construction is one of the defining characteristics of the design. This particular example was made by Frandsen Lightning A/S, which acquired Verpan in the early 2000s and features striking orange and turquoise details, which create a warm contrast against the metallic interior elements. The lamp remains in perfect condition and will become a true focal point of any contemporary space. The original manufacturer's sticker has been preserved, confirming the authenticity of the lamp.
