Sarreguemines pitcher and goblets, France 1970s

The set is made of majolica ceramic of ocher color. The pitcher has a decoration of grapes and vine leaves and tendrils and a latin inscription: in vino veritas. Which means as much as: in wine is the truth. The 4 goblets also feature a pattern of grapes and grape leaves. The height of the pitcher is 19.5 cm, diameter at the bottom: 9 cm and at the top 8 cm. Width: 17 cm, depth 12.5 cm. The cups are 8 cm high, bottom diameter 5 cm and top diameter 7.3 cm. The whole is in good condition, considering its age there are some slight cracks present. All items are marked at the bottom of the sarreguemines label.
