Vintage wall shelf Pierre GUARICHE - University Furniture of Orsay

Authentic wall shelf with 3 levels designed in the late 1950s by the famous French designer Pierre Guariche (1926-1995) to furnish student rooms at the Cité Universitaire on the Paris-Orsay campus. An iconic piece of modernist design and French Reconstruction, combining functionality and minimalist aesthetics. 2 vertical supports made of solid steel (massive iron) with a square section, repainted black after sanding. 3 shelves in mahogany veneer, just like the back of the shelf, all fully restored. It attaches to the wall with 4 anchor points. 4 screw covers (not original as there weren't any) are provided. Height 90 cm Width Length 120 cm Depth of shelves 25 cm.
