Gorgoni solid elm secretary-display-bar for Roche Bobois

Magnificent set from the famous "Arc-en-Ciel" collection, created by Italian designer Luigi Gorgoni for Roche Bobois in the 1970s. Made from solid elm, these pieces stand out for their exceptional cabinetmaking: a traditional assembly with no visible metal parts, characterised by clean lines, bevelled edges, and door fittings with wooden hinges. The wood grain is warm, golden, and very bright. Layout: Upper part: display cabinet with sliding glass doors and glass shelves. Central part: large drop-leaf that can serve as a desk or bar space. Original light. Lower part: storage unit with 2 doors. Overall condition: Excellent vintage condition. Details: Structure is perfectly sound and solid. The wood has a beautiful natural patina. Some slight signs of minimal and normal use for its age, with no impact on aesthetics.
