Empire Commode

Elegant Empire period chest of drawers in cherry wood, early 19th century, dating from the reign of Napoleon I. Sturdily built, it features four drawers in a row, one of which is concealed beneath the wooden top. The beautiful front boasts straight lines and is enhanced with chased brass for the drawer pulls and round handles. Two handles have been replaced with identical, high-quality pieces, and all the screws securing the knobs were replaced during the piece's restoration, carried out with meticulous care in our cabinetmaking workshop. The patina has been restored. This beautiful chest of drawers is ready to be placed on its surface; perhaps a large mirror awaits it. Dimensions in cm: W112, H85, D53.
