France - 1920-1949 - gres. Mougin vase typical of the art deco period. This vase with a stylized decoration of cacti and stars was designed by andré legrand. Signed. The vase is made of sandstone, with a brownish patina washed in the deep parts. Rare. Illustrated on page 171 of jacques g. Peiffer's book; the mougin brothers, wizards of the great fire. Very good condition.
