Large pair of wall sconces, arrow & eagle head, Empire style - gilded bronze

Beautiful pair of large Empire-style wall sconces, made in the second half of the 20th century. Made of bronze. Original gilding, in good condition, with a nice shine. The wall parts each represent a quiver crossed vertically by an arrow, with a finely crafted tip. The light arms are adorned with scrolls of foliage and palmette motifs. The lower scrolls end with finely sculpted eagle heads. A decorative composition characteristic of the Empire style, combining warrior symbols and plant motifs. The sconces bear the stamp "EM" on the back (see last photo). Electrical system tested (for E14 bulb). Cardboard candles, signs of wear.
