Antique neo-Renaissance walnut buffet, Italy, 19th century

Neo-Renaissance style buffet in ebonised walnut, dating from the late 19th century in Italy. The base of the buffet features four finely carved drawers beneath the top, adorned with leaf motifs, ornamental scrolls, and central handles representing lion heads. Below the drawers, four panelled doors display sculptures of central fruit vases, enriched with spiral leaf motifs and garlands of fruit filling the panels. The uprights are decorated with putti heads and underlying fruits, while the vase-shaped feet feature scroll carvings. The upper part of the buffet is equipped with a shelf, supported by four shelf consoles and carved panels. The interiors are made of fir and beech, ensuring strength and durability over time.
