Sublime covered dragée box in brown earthenware, a major piece of fine craftsmanship from the Namur production of the 1950s/1960s. This collectible work is attributed to the aesthetic research of Yvette Manoy (1929-2018), an emblematic figure of 20th-century Walloon ceramics. The removable lid features a meticulous champlevé enamel work: powerful black outlines isolate cells in intense colours (golden yellow, cobalt blue, and turquoise), standing out against the famous milky white enamel characteristic of the Namur school. The box is dressed on its body and base with a deep manganese black covering. The underside reveals the official monogram "YM" of the artist, topped with her mould and workshop model number "395".
