Antique Provençal armchair in wood with a straw seat.

Armchair that belonged to my grandfather, in Provençal/country style, made of stained brown wood with a traditional straw seat. It is distinguished by its high back with three curved slats, its curved armrests resting on turned supports, and its elaborately crafted legs. The seat features a very nice geometric straw weaving that is entirely braided and particularly well preserved. The structure is elegant and visually light, with a beautiful patina of the wood acquired over time. In very good overall condition for its age. The straw weaving is clean and well tensioned. The wood shows some small marks and normal variations in colour for an antique piece, visible in the photographs.
