Superb and rare modernist design vase made of authentic Bohemian crystal, manufactured in Czechoslovakia during the Mid-Century period (circa 1960/1970). This piece stands out with a striking architectural contrast: an opaque black crystal structure with a lacquered effect of absolute brilliance, combined with a clear base. The vertical pattern was created hot by master glassmakers and then grooved with a diamond wheel. This deep cutting hollowed out the black crystal to reveal long transparent columns that beautifully capture the light. Of great elegance, its tapered silhouette in the shape of a pointed arch provides a strong graphic presence. With a significant weight of over 2 kg for a stable base, it is a high-quality piece of craftsmanship, heavy and substantial. Important detail: the vase still has its original metallic paper label "Bohemia Glass / Made in Czechoslovakia". • Style: Mid-Century Modern / Space Age / Minimalist. • Period: 1960 - 1970. • Origin: Czechoslovakia (Bohemian Crystal) • Material: Double crystal, diamond-cut. • Colours: Glossy black lacquer and transparent. • Condition: Excellent condition. Very shiny crystal, no chips, no cracks. Just note slight micro-scratches from use under the base, normal for its age and a sign of authenticity. Dimensions and weight: Height: 29.5 cm. Top diameter (at the neck): 8 cm. External diameter (widest in the middle): 10 cm. • Weight: 2.1 kg (approximately) A centrepiece of design, highly decorative and timeless.
