Angelo Mangiarotti Early lesbo Table Lamp for Artemide Italy 1967

Iconic Lesbo table lamp designed by the architect and designer Angelo Mangiarotti in 1967 for Artemide Italy. This particular lamp is an early edition from the 1970s and is marked at the base. The concept behind the lamp was 'to evoke architecture as a pool of water'. It features a distinctive mushroom shape with a diffused light, created by a single piece of hand-blown Murano glass that gently rests on a polished metal base. The white, shaded glass subtly conceals the light source, directing a soft, atmospheric glow upwards. Impressive lamp. The lamp is in very good original condition. One tiny spot at the base, as visible in the last picture. Futhermore excellent.
