Mid-Century Teak Dining Chairs from Farstrup Møbler, Denmark, 1960s, Set of 4

This set of four dining chairs was manufactured by the Danish furniture maker Farstrup Møbler during the 1960s. The chairs are crafted from teak wood and feature a light, harmonious construction characteristic of Danish Mid-Century Modern design. A distinctive feature is the wide, sculpted backrests, which, combined with the slender leg construction, give the chairs an elegant and timeless appearance. The upholstered seats are subtly raised above the wooden frames, further emphasizing the visual lightness of the design. The chairs have undergone comprehensive woodworking and upholstery restoration. The teak elements were stripped of the old coating and finished with high-quality Danish oil, which enhances the natural colour and grain of the wood. The upholstery interiors have been replaced, and the seats have been reupholstered in a high-quality black fabric.
