Mid-Century Rosewood Dining Chairs, Denmark, 1960s, Set of 4

This set of four dining chairs was manufactured in Denmark during the 1960s. The pieces are distinguished by their elegant and distinctive form and the high level of craftsmanship characteristic of Danish Mid-Century Modern design. Particular attention is drawn to the uniquely sculpted, wide backrests with their gently curved, organic lines. The chair frames are crafted from mahogany, while the backrests are finished with striking rosewood veneer, whose distinctive natural grain is one of the defining features of the set. The chairs have undergone comprehensive woodworking and upholstery restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, stained in a rosewood colour, and finished with a durable high-quality semi-matt lacquer. The upholstery interiors have been replaced, and the seats have been reupholstered in high-quality black leather, which complements the rich tones of the wood and emphasizes the elegant character of the chairs.
