Very much designed by Charlotte Perriand for the Les Belles Challes-Lauzières residences at Les Arcs 1800, delivered in 1973. Made of solid pine, brown laminate, and white lacquered panels, it opens with two doors fitted with cylindrical handles in solid pine. The combination of wood and laminate is characteristic of the furniture developed by Charlotte Perriand for the apartments at Les Arcs. Designed for mountain residences, this model illustrates her quest for functional, robust, and streamlined furniture, conceived as an extension of the interior architecture. Provenance: Les Belles Challes-Lauzières residences, Les Arcs 1800. Bibliography: Jacques Barsac, Charlotte Perriand, The Complete Works, vol. 4 (1968-1999), Éditions Norma.
