Superb vintage log holder made of polished solid brass, entirely handcrafted. This exceptional piece is stamped "Pierre Vergnes" and bears the regulatory mention "Handmade", showcasing the historical know-how of this famous French brass workshop located in Durfort (the copper village in Tarn). Its cradle-shaped design rests on four tapered baluster feet made of solid brass, providing a stable and highly graphic structure. It is equipped with a large riveted central handle for easy transport. There is a small indentation on the top of the handle. The brass has a lovely patina nuanced by time. It has been cleaned to revive its shine while preserving its authenticity. If you prefer a perfectly golden appearance without signs of use, a more thorough polishing will restore its original brilliance. Weight 3.5kg.
