For sale: an authentic Voltaire armchair from the Louis-Philippe period (19th century), restored to the highest standards by a professional upholsterer. These characterful seats are both elegant and extremely comfortable (no restoration needed). Structure: Period wood (mahogany/dark walnut) in excellent condition, sound and robust, with a beautiful original patina. Equipped with its original small bronze/metal castors, typical of the era. High-end restoration: Seat and backrest redone in a traditional manner. Careful finishing with perfectly regular aged brass tacks. Fabric: magnificent heavy jacquard velvet with floral and damask patterns (olive green, old rose, and cream tones). The pattern is perfectly centred on the backs and seats, showcasing quality artisanal work.
