Charming small Napoleon III mirror in moulded gutta-percha, decorated with reliefs of vine leaves and grape clusters. Gutta-percha is a hardened natural latex, widely used and fashionable for decorative objects in the second half of the 19th century. Its beautiful dark brown colour, naturalistic decoration, and bevelled glass give it a strong presence despite its size. An elegant piece full of character, typical of the decorative taste of the late 19th century.
