Provençal wormwood Solid wood with a beautiful patina
Upper traverse carved with a floral cup/basket of flowers surrounded by vegetal scrolls. Lower traverse with a scalloped edge enhanced by an inlay/marquetry in the shape of an eight-pointed star at the center, resting on small curved "snail" feet. Molded doors in a gendarme hat style: Panels with double reserves featuring light curves that add relief and elegance to the doors. Central upright worked: Central fluted and structurally carved pilaster. Large wrought iron fittings (hinges with lardoire): Long hinges characteristic of period artisanal carpentry. Interior with simple boards. Iron lock entries cut and worked: Beautiful vertical openwork metal fittings with a patina. A very well-preserved piece, with a healthy and stable structure. Natural patina from use confirms its antiquity without altering its aesthetics or solidity.
