Open writing desk in the Napoleon III style, made of mahogany veneer, an example of French craftsmanship from the second half of the 19th century. The upper part features four cardboard drawers with green faux leather fronts, characterised by a central locking block operated by the lock of the lower drawer. The sliding top includes a green leather insert, while a drawer in the lower band offers additional open compartments lined with maple or cedar. The curved front legs end in metal sabot feet shaped like paws, accompanied by flush lock entries, knobs, handles, and mouldings made of the same material. The moulded base is mounted on castors, ensuring ease of movement. This combination of functional and decorative elements makes it an elegant piece of furniture.
