Elm headboard and solid elm burl panels. A pivoting panel decorated with marquetry houses a shelf that was used to hold a bedside lamp. Very warm honey tone. Probably dates from the late 19th century, according to the former owner, who always saw it at her great-grandmother's house. It is likely the transformation of a wardrobe door and a drawer, hence the somewhat odd proportions, as well as some of the machining. Dovetail joints are found on the pivoting part, as well as a groove on the reverse side. Traces of an old lock can be seen. It was a drawer. The same is true on the back of the main part, where traces of a lock can be seen. It was originally a door. Can be reused as a child's headboard, or transformed into any other arrangement (overmantel over a fireplace, etc.) Dimensions: Width = 135 cm; Height = 120 cm. €500 including VAT, to be collected as is. VAT recoverable. Shipping or delivery available upon request. Transformation or arrangement available upon request.
