Italian architectural table lamp in acrylic and chrome, 1970s.

Large geometric table lamp combining clear and opaque acrylic with a polished metal structure. The lamp is characteristic of the more decorative side of Italian modernism during the 1970s. Its angular geometry and contrasting materials show influences of both Space Age design and the glamorous, architectural furniture and lighting associated with Romeo Rega. An interesting example of the period's experimentation with industrial materials, geometric forms and the interplay between light and transparency. Preserved in very good vintage condition with minimal signs of age and use. Fully functional.
