Napoleon III liquor cabinet in marquetry, cut crystal

Beautiful liqueur cabinet from the Napoleonic III era (second half of the 19th century), a box made of veneered wood inlaid with stylised floral motifs on a walnut root background, opening to a compartmentalised interior in mahogany. It contains a complete set of cut and engraved crystal, tinted pink/amethyst, consisting of four decanters with faceted stoppers and eleven matching liqueur glasses (initially one glass was missing from the set, the crystal bears no visible signature or manufacturer's mark, but the quality of the cut — with diamond point decoration and a frieze of engraved foliage — is characteristic of Baccarat/Saint-Louis style sets from the period, without claiming attribution). One glass is missing.
