Set of 6 baumann chairs - model n°277 published from 1954 to 1958. Structure in massive natural beech curved (chassis of one piece, incomparable robustness), spindle feet very slightly in compass, small arc of rear connection, seat and back in molded plywood trimmed with "cakes" with original vinyl coating - here the textured red "tweed" n °610 with the color chart of the catalog. Be careful, the color seems brighter (vermilion) with the photo taken in full sun, but it is a slightly carmine red. --- excellent condition of structures and assemblies, no play. The woods have their patina of lived, one of the chairs is darker. I report a small cut (stopped at the varnish) on one of the seat cakes, and some nails to the head of man in reinforcement upholsterer on a back cake (apparently for no reason since it is not peeled off, but left in place because they are very sunken and do not interfere, from an aesthetic point of view either since almost invisible). Chairs of good size, clean, ready for service. This bistro model, which dates from the chair's collaboration with swiss designer max bill, is one of the most comfortable ever produced at baumann for the comfort of the back and seat. --- height 82 cm, seat height 46 cm, seat 40 X 42 cm.
