Beautiful and large hanging from the workshops of the Rambouillet Art Editions. This is the reproduction of one of the 6 tapestries from the beginning of the 16th century devoted to lordly life, preserved at the Cluny Museum. Celebrating love as a refined game, the lady, served by the pages, is at the center of attention as the ideal object of chivalrous conquest. Against a backdrop of "millefleurs", the landscape is enlivened by the presence of the animals that dot the composition. The silkscreen reproduction process as well as the composition are explained in a note attached to the hanging. The reverse is lined with burlap with hooks for hanging. It is in very good overall condition, no major defects, minimal signs of wear on the lower edges (see photos). It has been dusted and dry cleaned.
