Magnificent large antique oval dish in fine earthenware made in belgium at the end of the 19th century by the famous belgian earthenware factory the imperial and royal factory located in nimy. For the record, this renowned earthenware factory was created in 1789 by fery-françois de bousies and dieudonné joseph antoine, its production is known under the name vieux-nimy. It was acquired in 1851 by the kéramis de la louvière company. In 1897, it had 675 workers. Having suffered from the first world war, it was sold to the maastricht ceramic company in 1921. The second world war was fatal and production ceased definitively in 1951. This dish is prettily decorated in the art nouveau style with wreaths of blue flowers. Which adorn this dish.
