Murano ashtray in submerged green and amber from 1960

Spectacular vintage glass ashtray made in Murano in the 1960s. Its thick mass of glass combines an emerald green core with amber hues, all enveloped in clear glass. The technique known as "sommerso" involves layering several layers of coloured glass followed by transparent glass. The piece is then cut and polished into large facets, creating remarkable effects of depth, light, and refraction. Its geometric and sculptural shape makes it a very beautiful decorative object! The piece shows some visible chips, consistent with its age and to be taken into account before purchase. Despite these imperfections, it retains a spectacular presence.
