Anonymous (mid-20th century) No signature for this painting, although it was painted with a confident hand. Beautiful oil on canvas representing a gypsy or fairground camp. You can see trailers in the middle of which sits a van with buildings in the background, part of which is in ruins. Painted with a confident hand but in a naive and childish style, this painting seems to me to be built on the principle of inverted perspective with a choice of luminous colors in a contrast of shades of red and green under a blue sky with a few clouds good weather... The painting is sold with the oak frame in which it was presented in the estate from which it came. The canvas and the frame are quite rustic and have some small paint jumps at the bottom right. The canvas deserves a small restoration and a light cleaning but without obligation. I measured 38 cm X 46 cm for the canvas and 50 cm X 58 cm Comes from an estate from Hainaut in Belgium.
