Grand open buffet! It has a resemblance to a chimney apron that has been transformed into a bookshelf for placing books, decorative objects, etc. We would go for oak (but we are not cabinetmakers); we have painted the interior in a broken white lacquer to enhance the quality of the wood and accentuate the contrast.
