Stoneware vase with a beautiful hare fur glaze by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, Sweden, mid-20th century. Marked Nylund and Rörstrand. In good condition, with minor signs of age and wear. About the artist: Gunnar Nylund was born in Paris in 1904 and spent many years in Denmark where he worked for Bing & Grøndahl, his own Saxbo stoneware studio, and Nymølle ceramic factory. He spent most of his working years at the Rörstrand porcelain factory, just outside Stockholm, Sweden, between 1931 and 1959. He is well known for his grog, his fur glazes, and his animal figures.
