Large Vallauris vase with folded rim, 1960s-1970s.

Vintage ceramic vase from Vallauris, probably made in the 1960s-1970s. Its tall, slightly conical silhouette is distinguished by a sculptural, wavy rim, composed of several angles deliberately folded outward. This organic shape is part of the vase's original design. The glossy glaze combines a bright orange with shades of dark brown, beige, and white. The flowing glazes blend into very expressive vertical patterns, evoking flames or solidified lava. The interior is fully glazed in a deep, glossy brown. The upper rim takes on a characteristic shape known as "handkerchief". The mention "VALLAURIS" is stamped under the base. It indicates production from this famous ceramic centre in the south of France, without allowing for precise identification of the workshop. In good vintage condition, with no chips noted.
