Superb two-body buffet from the Louis XV period, made of solid walnut, featuring a beautiful old patina and significant craftsmanship. This characterful piece stands out with its undulating façade, moulded doors with shaped panels, old patinated metal fittings, and a low carved crosspiece decorated with a shell motif. The upper section opens with two large doors revealing a lovely storage space with internal shelves. The lower section consists of two doors and three belt drawers, offering ample storage capacity while maintaining the elegance typical of 18th-century provincial furniture. The piece showcases beautiful decorative details: rounded and moulded cornice, worked uprights, slightly curved feet, frames with contrasting wood reserves, and old handles with rocaille decoration. The whole has a lot of charm and a remarkable presence, ideal for a dining room, a large kitchen, a character home, or an interior blending old and contemporary styles. The walnut offers a warm and deep hue, with beautiful visible grain on the panels. The piece retains the normal marks of its age: signs of use, old woodworm damage, slight scratches, variations in patina, and small old restorations. These elements testify to its authenticity and enhance its character.
