Handwoven in Morocco by Amazigh artisans, this large Beni Ouarain rug is made from 100% natural sheep wool using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations. This piece takes the classic neutral character of Beni Ouarain weaving in a contemporary direction, with a design created by variations in pile height and texture. The raised ivory wool lines form an architectural composition against a flatter background of natural wool. The result is subtle from afar but detailed up close, with light and shadow highlighting the geometric pattern. Its monochromatic ivory palette keeps the piece calm and cohesive, while the sculptural relief prevents the rug from appearing mundane.
