Decorative ceramic plaque made by Paul Pouchol in Vallauris in the 1950s. Square in shape, it features a slightly raised decoration depicting a mythological character accompanied by a fantastical animal. The shaded glazes of green, brown, and black stand out against a textured light background, in a Mediterranean spirit characteristic of Vallauris production in the post-war period.
