Large wall plate in ceramic with relief decoration – Lion attacking an ostrich. Important glazed ceramic wall plate with fully modelled high relief decoration depicting a lion overpowering an ostrich in an exotic landscape featuring palm trees and lush vegetation. The highly sculptural treatment of the decoration, combined with a nuanced polychromy of glazes, gives this piece a remarkable sense of depth. The back is equipped with two attachments for wall display. Decorative work from the second half of the 20th century, of fine quality, reminiscent of certain French or Italian productions intended for interior decoration. Very beautiful decorative presence.
