Round braided bamboo top

Delightful top, very original with its interweaving of flats and very thin wooden strips (bamboo probably) on two layers (because the interlacing is made of smaller slats on the top than on the bottom) and its circular tubular edge whose junction is difficult to find... I even have a hard time imagining how it was made and the materials used! The rim is raised from the bottom of the plateau by dozens of very thin round wooden stems (bamboo too I imagine). It is a very meticulous craftsman's work! It is perfectly rigid, and can therefore serve as an original wall decoration as well as a tray to serve coffee or aperitif. The top is covered with a dark varnish. It would date from the 60s. It is in good structural condition, very solid, but does not hide its age: some marks on the circular edge (abrasion of the varnish) and on the tray, some small marks below including a small shine on the lower edge (about 0.5 cm) and some splinters of varnish. It measures 30 cm in diameter, and 4 cm in height and weighs about 200g.
