Art Deco bonbonniere from the 1930s, attributed to the famous Czechoslovakian manufacturer Moser, made of black glass with a high gloss and cool shade. The distinctly outlined, geometric form includes faceted walls both at the base and on the domed lid, emphasizing the precision of workmanship and giving the whole a stylish rhythm of reflected light. In the central part of the vessel, there is a wide, golden band made using the oroplasty technique – with great care, it depicts figural motifs of an antique or mythological nature: a parade of figures, animals, and decorative ornaments, reminiscent of an old sculptural frieze. The lid handle is sculptural, with a decisive, angular line, harmoniously fitting into the geometric design. The entire piece is in very good condition — the glass is free of chips or discoloration, and the gilding and reliefs have retained their detail and freshness. There are no signs of repairs or restoration, and all elements remain original. The form of the bonbonniere speaks with the voice of the Art Deco era — distinguished symmetry, decisive geometry, and balanced opulence are its essence. The dark, almost black gloss of the glass plays with the impulse of light, and the gilded oroplastic frieze evokes the spirit of classic celebrations with an emphasis on luxury and ceremony. Masterfully crafted reliefs with an antique procession seem to tell of the 1930s' longing for universal harmony and the artistic craftsmanship of handwork, bringing an atmosphere of elegant modernity and historical imagination to the interior. The bonbonniere can be displayed on a console in the living room or in a showcase, preferably alongside light marbles or subtle rosewood veneer, which will highlight the contrast between the black gloss of the glass and the golden band. In a mid-century arrangement or collector's study, pairing with geometric ceramics, refined patinated copper, or a mirror in a rectangular frame from the era will emphasize its character. It is also worth considering a combination with glass vases or a silver bas-relief box, which will create a calm yet representative decorative accent in a subdued, minimalist space.
