Rare condition antique straw Bourgne

Magnificent old basket in spiral wickerwork, an authentic piece of French popular art dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. Initially used in rural settings as a pantry or grain store, it now captivates with its understated, organic, and timeless aesthetic, perfectly suited to contemporary interiors (chic country, brutalist, or wabi-sabi). Crafted artisanally from tightly assembled bundles of rye straw, secured with wild bramble splints, it retains a beautiful deep golden-brown patina, reflecting its age and authenticity.
